On
12th October, 2019 TRANSMISSION LINE DESIGN Lecture was organised
under Institute of Engineers (IE) for the students of third year
Electrical Engineering. The lecture was
conducted by Mr. Vishal Ingle Additional Executive Engineer, MSDECL, Amravati.
The venue for the lecture was Electrical AV Hall. The lecture started with the
welcome of the expert and his introduction. Forty students attended the
lecture. The students were introduced to the basics of TRANSMISSION LINE, what
it actually means, its purposes and its applications. It was an interactive
lecture where students raised various queries and were answered by the expert.
The students discussed over various issues and topics related to TRANSMISSION
LINE. The lecture ended with a vote of thanks.
Workshops/Industrial Visit
1. MATLAB Workshop
Two
day MATLAB workshop was organized on 17th and 18th
October 2019 under the guidance of Dr. P.P. Bedekar. Dr. P. P. Bedekar an
expertise in MATLAB started the workshop with the introduction to workshop.
Basics of MATLAB were made acquainted on the first day of workshop. The second day started with the introduction
to Simulink and its applications. The workshop ended with a short overview on
the importance of Simulink and its application by Dr. P.P. Bedekar.
1. Industrial Visit at 220kV Substation
On 4th October 2019 Industrial visit at 220 KV substation was
organised under Institute of Engineers (IE) for the students of Third year
electrical engineering. The visit helped students to better understand the
things related to Power Transmission techniques. There the students learned how
various stations are monitored by sitting in one room, how the data from
various stations is extracted and how to live monitor various parameters. The
visit ended with the felicitation of the experts and with vote of thanks.
