Government
College of Engineering Amravati; along with DIVY IT Solutions-Pune, the
Industry partner had conceptualized for Establishment of a Centre of
Excellence in IOT -” , who are market leaders in drives and control
equipment’s. The primary objective of this centre is to produce trained
manpower for IOT. This is a state-of-the-art training facility for
Smart Home Control platform with smart sensor, I/O link
platform, industrial control with Servo and VFD drive development platform with
iBotics interactive Designer, Device management &Administration. Upon
Establishment ;GCOEA , will act as an independent centre to cater the needs of
the technical institutes like polytechnics, Engineering institutes and
Industries in this region specifically in Amravati Region.
The
industry partner DIVY IT Solutions Pune, then introduced SENSITAL PYT-Australia
for Collaboration in the setting up of this Centre primarily to acts
as an enabler which will drive the various initiative by leveraging the
knowledge
of industry, academia, government & start-ups to
democratize innovation in the IoT industry
Internet
of Things (IOT): The Internet of Things is the concept of everyday objects –
from industrial machines to wearable devices – using built-in sensors to gather
data and take action on that data across a network. So it’s a building that
uses sensors to automatically adjust heating and lighting. Simply put, the Internet
of Things is the future of technology that can make our lives more efficient.
Objective:
The objective of the centre is to bridge the gap between the Industries and the
Institutes and to provide industry ready manpower in manufacturing plants of Automotive
Applications, Industrial Automation, Machinery Applications and Engineering
which is the need of the hour.
The Internet
of Things (IoT) is aimed at enabling the interconnection and
integration of the physical world and the cyber space. It represents the trend
of future networking, and leads the third wave of the IT industry revolution
leading to INDUSTRY 4.0.
Further
this Centre will Serve as a catalyst to enable the start-up eco-system,
Industry Engagement to Co-Create · Developing Lighthouse Projects for Business
and Social Impact · Enable Research for Long Term Problem Solving · Develop
Workforce to Sustain Industry’s Growth and then successfully Showcase
Success Stories of Innovation
Also
this Centre will help in —
1. Enhancing
creative thinking skills.2 Be at the forefront to receive an education in
Automation.3. Be a leader in embracing technology in an ever changing
world.4. To bridge the gap between industry and academia by giving
industrial based training.5. Developing critical thinking and programming
of automation.6. Discovering real life engineering challenges and develop
creative solutions to solve them. Outcomes
Machineslearning:
Businesses have traditionally had limited insight into what happens in the
field: in customers’ homes/offices, at distributors, in stores, in transit, on
shop floors. By capturing continuous data from sensors in the field, meaningful
insights can be derived. From products to platforms IoT creates new platform
opportunities for the innovators ready to build them.
Dematerialization:
Humans are relying less on physical resources and instead working smarter.
Salient
Features:
Intelligence:
Together algorithms and compute (i.e. software & hardware) provide the
“intelligent spark” that makes a product experience smart.
Connectivity:
Connectivity in the IoT is more than slapping on a WiFi module and calling it a
day. Connectivity enables network accessibility and compatibility
Sensing:
Sensing technologies provide us with the means to create experiences that reflect
a true awareness of the physical world and the people in it. This is simply the
analog input from the physical world, but it can provide rich understanding of
our complex world.
Expressing:
Expressing enables interactivity with people and the physical world.
Safety:
As we gain efficiencies, novel experiences, and other benefits from the IoT, we
must not forget about safety. As both the creators and recipients of the IoT,
we must design for safety. This includes the safety of our personal data and the
safety of our physical well-being.
Device Virtualization:
Standardize integration of devices with the enterprise
High-Speed Messaging:
Enable reliable, secure, and bi-directional communication between devices and
the cloud
Endpoint Management:
Manage all your device endpoint identity, metadata, and lifecycle states
Stream Processing:
Real-time analysis of incoming data streams with event aggregation, filtering,
and correlation
Data Enrichment:
Enrich raw data streams with contextual information and generate composite
streams
