The Department of Instrumentation Engineering has been established in 1996 in our college. The department offers under graduate in Instrumentation Engineering. The total intake of the department is 30. In order to cater the Automation Industries demand for skilled technical manpower the department focuses on preparing the students in high end technology. Instrumentation Engineering provides knowledge and skill development in understanding and applying instrumentation use to measure, record and control process variables (such as flow, temperature, level and pressure). Each and every process in industry requires accurate monitoring and control. To develop, design and maintain instruments required for this is the main job of Instrumentation Engineer. Instrumentation engineering is the engineering specialization focused on the principle and operation of measuring instruments that are used in design and configuration of automated systems in electrical, pneumatic hydraulic etc. domains. They typically work for industries with automated processes, such as chemical or manufacturing plants, with the goal of improving system productivity, reliability, safety, optimization, and stability.

The courses of the program can categorize in two verticals Process Engineering and Control Engineering. The process Engineering contains the courses like Sensors & Transducers, Industrial Automation , Process Instrumentation, Instrumentation System Design and that of Control Engineering contains Control System Engineering, Control System, Digital Control. Also the courses like General Proficiency, Community Service Program, National Service Scheme, National Cadet Corps, Human Values & Ethics, and Environmental Engineering are also incorporated in the curriculum for overall development of students.

Several of our past students are holding position of great responsibility in public as well as private sector in India as well as abroad. They are holding the key positions in industries.
